In 1969 Mr. "Cuco", an immigrant from Mexico with only $100, a passport and a suitcase, seized an opportunity to purchase a small bar. This investment marked the beginning of a thriving restaurant journey, which included the establishment of numerous restaurants and the eventual sale of the Lancaster location now known as Hacienda Don Cuco. For over 25 years, this iconic eatery has been a staple of the Antelope Valley, and it continues to thrive today under new local ownership.
